For a more cost effective coating, floor wax does the same thing as the polycrylic. I use floor wax inside clear Christmas balls and do the same thing with glitter

Do you use a certain brand or does any kind work? I’ve heard this before but wasn’t sure what kind to use. I’d love to do it with Christmas ornaments!

This is cute. Here's an idea for a truly upcycled one. Grab a canning jar(even one that is chipped on top and not usuable for canning any more), then grab an old ring that's not usuable anymore. Paint the ring black, do Diedre's lovely sparkles, and drop in a dollar store battery powered tea light. Can you tell I'm a crafter and a canner? LOL. I keep looking for ideas to use the jars that are up to par for canning, as most are gifts from Grandmas and Moms so I dont want to garbage them.

Do you leave it right side up or upside down to let it dry?

I leave it right side up so the air can get into the jar and it dries quite quickly. Thanks for watching
