Can’t wait to see how the trailer turns out. Everything you guys do is always so well done.

The only problem I see with not having the hay in larger quantities on site would be if for ANY REASON there became a problem/shortage etc. from your suppliers then you might have real issues. Just something to think about. Love your videos 😊🐐💙💙💙

I think about that always it’s scary but I have a few back ups for sure if it came to that.

I love it - I have very limited space and these are great ideas. I’m also a little nervous of the double decker but your work is quality awesome so I’m sure it will be fine! Happy New Year to you too Jace!! Have fun in the snow 💕

You barn is AMAZING!!!! we have a dinky lean-to we’re trying to make work as a barn lol! Is this the feed recipe you still use? Are you happy with the milk taste and production? Super new to goats here and excited to start milking!

There are laws about transporting animals in double deck situations. May not affect an individual owner but I would check before investing time and materials in your trailer.

Only for large livestock from our understanding but good point 😀

Happy New Year to the Johnson Family Farmstead! I like the ingenious way of using a concrete mixer for making your own bespoke goat feed! I always enjoy watching your video and I always want it be longer!😁

How long, with the amount of goats you have, does that bucket last?
@JohnsonFamilyFarmstead2 жыл бұрын
it last a week but when we are milking again we will go through way more.

I noticed you have six feed containers, but only mentioned 5 grains. Is there a another grain you feed? Is that what everyone gets year round? Could you possibly do a detailed video of your feeding in the near future? Break it down on the whys and whatnots?

Some totes have random stuff I’m trying to use up like dry cob. Also when they start milking we add in some other feed I will definitely mention that 😃

Your existing little hay storage area is conveniently close for feeding the does. Maybe a stockpile storage could be built close to the bucks... the hay would be on site but out of the way🤔🤓

Happy New Year Jace and all! Here in Finland it's a tradition to sled and simultaneously shout 'long linens (flax plants), fine hemp fibers!' though in February/March at "sliding day festival" (Shrove Tuesday) rather than New Year's. The longer the sled slides, the better the harvest will be🤗 You guys could come up with your own chants to shout as you sled🤗😁 'Plenty of bucklings, double the doelings!'

I love that 🥰

Thanks for spelling out our feed mix and proportion. So, you don’t use any type of corn?
