Hi, I am following exactly how you’re changing the writing to draw. I have also picked the same font. My fonts turned into something like you have to shade them. I am so frustrated with this fonts, I have been just working on this for 6 hours straight and no progress. I just don’t understand why! Is there a reason why my fonts are turning like bubbles and yours was not ? I hope to hear from you. Thank you

Hi Donnalynn...The problem is that the Lucida font is a System font. So the Cricut treats it like a cut font instead of a writing one and will only draw an outline. On mine, the text was small enough and my pen was thick enough that the outlines overlapped, so it looks like the letters were filled in. You could try it with a thicker pen, or you could choose one of the Cricut fonts that are meant for writing. To find them, open the font selection, click the Cricut link, then click on the Filter link on the right side of the search box and select Writing from the options. Unfortunately most of them are paid but they will work. You might also try doing a google search for free Cricut writing fonts to see what else is available. Hope that helps!
