I've never met anyone in person that does the type of things you and I do. It would be cool to have somebody to do a collaborative project with. The things you make are more useful and practical that anything "Great Scott" makes lol

Hi, more than interesting project, were you based on any modification to the circuit or is it a design of yours? congratulations, I will try to do it this afternoon, I will use it on an acoustic guitar that already has a preamp
@Psychotenuse4 жыл бұрын
It's a really basic inverting amplifier circuit, electronics 101 textbook type stuff... Good luck :)
@Psychotenuse4 жыл бұрын
If you're using it with an acoustic guitar with a preamp, I would recommend you add a resistor to the input, to limit the current drawn from the preamp. Perhaps around 10K, but I would have to experiment a little to find the best value.
@oscarfurno50004 жыл бұрын
@@Psychotenuse thank you very much I will take it into account, without resistance could the TDA2030 be damaged or it could receive too much gain at the entrance and saturate?

I hav build an amp using lm386, but it giviing distrorion or overdrivern signal, im going build this amp for clean channel, will this work with 9 v dc
@Psychotenuse Жыл бұрын
It should work fine on 9v. Just make sure you use appropriately rated capacitors.

I have no idea how to connect the guitar input. Where should the tip, ring, and sleeve be connected in the circuit? Could anyone help me with that? I understood the other parts in the circuit diagram but not that part.
@Psychotenuse4 жыл бұрын
As you can see there is no "ring" contact on the audio jack I used. If you use one which has a ring contact, you can connect it to the sleeve contact.
@Psychotenuse4 жыл бұрын
The outer circle is "sleeve", dot in the middle is "tip"

how i could use 50K OHM VARIABLE POT RESISTOR POTENTIOMETER it has 3 leg(in, out, gnd) and in head phone output i need stereo out please advice me
@Psychotenuse4 жыл бұрын
Typically, the middle terminal is the 'tap', so to use the potentiometer as a variable resistor simply ignore one of the side terminals.
@Psychotenuse4 жыл бұрын
If you want the same thing in both ears, connect the "left" and "right" terminals on the headphone socket.
@pratbrat34924 жыл бұрын
since theres a virtual ground to create a split supply, shouldn't there be a small cap at the input of the amp to avoid getting any dc into the amp? or any dc through the coils of the pickups?
@Psychotenuse4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you could certainly add more stuff, but I've kept it basic. Since your guitar pickup is basically a coupled inductor (think one coil of a transformer), it is unlikely to generate a persistent DC offset. And if there is an offset somehow - faulty active pickups perhaps - then that is still unlikely to fry your headphones because the output capacitor will block it. Worst case scenario you get some distortion.

Did you use 100uf 50v capacitor ?
@Psychotenuse Жыл бұрын
The capacitor just needs to be rated to your battery voltage at least
@emersonsrandomvideos2485 жыл бұрын
Can we use that for electric bass?
@Psychotenuse5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it should work fine for bass.

Is there a way where i can add more affects to it, like a volume potentiometer, and/or a treble potentiometer and effects like that?
@Psychotenuse5 жыл бұрын
Well, the one in the circuit _is_ a volume potentiometer. A treble control could be made by putting a capacitor and variable resistor in parallel to ground from somewhere in the middle of the feedback loop.

From what I remember this amp was pretty quiet. In fact I have headphone guitar amps from Monoprice and Valeton and they are way louder and I'm more concerned about headphone damage with those.
