@@MyBerkovich that one’s definitely gonna be coming up soon. As simple as it may be for some, others will spend thousands of dollars over their lifetime to have other people change their guitar strings for them.

Why not butt up and clamp 2 blocks together and use the key hole bit to drill through the butt up center line and have 2 head rest blocks?

@@BryanClark-gk6ie now THAT! Is a great idea. I will be making more of these in the future. I’ll definitely try that idea out. Thanks.

It's easier to drill a hole into the block of wood with the pilot drill bit, 1/8th of an inch from the edge, than trying to line up the drill with those lines. That way the hole you drill will guide the hole saw.

@@myblues6532 hey thanks for the comment. You know your stuff :) that was my thought process as well when creating the proof of concept. However, the drillbit that is used specifically for this whole saw size, makes it where you have to be further than an eighth from the edge to reduce drillbit blowout (maybe I can change the size I use to smaller next time). Also, something else that was happening when I did that method was any further into the wood as you suggest the cut out becomes less of a U-shape and more of a C-shape. Which was not what I was going for. Ultimately, I think a bandsaw would be the solution to this problem. Some things to consider?
