I can't believe I've never thought of a drawer slider for pop ups before! This is genius!
@jbponzi1Ай бұрын
That’s what I use. Plus, mine are pneumatic and the force on the slides is a bit more and they hold up well.
@markweir2343Ай бұрын
I used aluminum bar stock and it always has a tendency to pop out of the rollers. Needed to build a few more of these guys, trying the method next
@markweir2343Ай бұрын
@@jbponzi1pnuematic? Is it faster??
@jbponzi1Ай бұрын
@@markweir2343 yes. The Ghoul Friends pop up fast and then slowly retract. Take a look at videos of those in the Mansion. Sadly, I can’t post photos of my builds here and am not interested in video production.

As usual, your tutorials are so very creative and practical. I had not considered a drawer slide for a vertical or horizontal movement mechanism. Always a pleasure seeing your new ideas on KZbin.

I like it really clean and moves great. I am working on a 3 way popup for a tombstone of 3 stooges. one up and 2 sideways.

This seems so simple. You make everything look easy! Dare I say that I'm motivated to go build something???

The mechanicism is absolutely a very cool make for this, the build is pretty cool and absolutely like the animictronic Halloween prop pop up

I'd like to second your shout-out to Eerie Acres Cemetery. I based my hearse design with skulls-and-bones infinity box on his creations.
@EerieAcresCemeteryАй бұрын
That's great do you have a video of it?
@ghostofautumnwood6379Ай бұрын
@@EerieAcresCemetery I have a video that focuses on making the infinity box, but it has a few shots of the hearse. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZycdIWcqMx8g6c Hope to see more videos on your channel.

I'm wondering if something like a solenoid could work as an actuator for a quick poo-up jump scare prop.

Possibly, but I can't say for certain.

This is awesome! Can't wait to build one. Unless I missed it, how did you attach the hands to the tombstone? I'm guessing you used a heat gun to be able to shape them.
@VanOaksProps27 күн бұрын
The hands had small holes in them that was perfect for some screws.

What step bit do you recommend? Sizes and prices seen to vary pretty wildly.

I bought an inexpensive set of 5 that way I have a bit for every potential application. There's a link in the video description.
