Wow! Just dragging out the corners of the teeth and eyes made such a huge difference! A little detail like that can go such a long way into elevating a prop from "yeah, it's OK" to "Wow!!"
@saber_tooth_tiger Жыл бұрын
Just an idea: it'd be cool to have a series where you go back on really old props you made and basically give them a makeover, with all the new knowledge you've gained over the years. It would be cool :o

This is great! :D Suggestion: cheap solar steak light parts stuck into the hole in the back of the pumpkin to light the head at night, and a solar garden "spotlight" with its lens colored red with sharpie stuck in the ground either in front to illuminate the whole scarecrow or in back to create a silhouette effect except for the lit up face. Happy Halloween :D

Excellent job on the pumpkin! I personally would have gone with even narrower pieces of wood, and painted them a dirty yellow to more closely resemble bones. Stretched over cheesecloth this would help hide the fact that its actually wood. Maybe bot cut the cloth as much as you did, just tears ragged holes in various places. Overall, you guys did an amazing job with the materials you had.

Soapbox- I love your workshop. Should do a video on how you insulated the garage door and placement of the portable AC to cool it. I wanted to splice the ac exhaust with the dryer exhaust using some kind of a spliter baffle, but my water heater is in the way. Off soapbox- acrylic paint made that pumpkin 1000% better.

Gave me an idea but I don’t have old wood. Maybe buy a cheap skeleton, cut the hands off and head off. Replace with the pumpkin head and twigs for hands with the twine wrapped around. Add a light within the skeleton/head as well some old looking fabric onto the body. Still visible with the ribs but slightly covering it up.
@WickedMakers4 жыл бұрын
Awesome idea!!! 👊🏼💀
@loniansley5914 жыл бұрын
You could always use twigs and branches to create the skeleton... think grey or, if you can find some, old dead birch branches! Even regular branches can be lightened a bit with watered down acrylic paint. It would be a more natural and creepy look, I think. No two alike, for sure! Add bits of moss or vines, and you could have a very unique flair on this version! 🎃🍁🎃

I’ll see what I can do. That would work. I tend to do art often in fact this account I’m using is solely for my art. Only true difference is I’m not using pencils for the design.

Ooooh, this one looks easy enough that I can do it. Might have to do the glowing mason jars too to add to the effect. My parents always complain how few trick or treaters our street gets but that's because it's full of old people and not enough of them put _any_ effort in to decorating. Sorry Mom and Dad, but a lone Jack--o-lantern on the porch won't cut it.
