I too wish to build a pellet machine and small hammer mill .. but I dont have a lathe and am not confident enough in my fabrication skill to build a machine that slings blades at 1700 rpm 😆 maybe one day. I do enjoy watching yours, though. Thanks so much for sharing!

Nc project, can i ask what is the size of those nuts? and also the thickness of the plates?

Thanks. The plates are 6mm thick, the nuts are 16mm but I drilled them with a 19mm drill.

Is it possible to make a hammer mill from an old dust blower fan? Must the "hammers" be movable or can i weld them directly to the fan blades?

I think you can build a straw grinding mill out of a dust fan. The hammer mill is built with movable knives.

I have one almost same, but with square blades. I switch side of blades because side that hits become rounded. So, side that hits is square again but I can see that parts of wood that comes out are a bit bigger than before. At start it was like in your video at 1st seconds of video. What can be a reason for that?

The type of wood and the humidity of the sawdust. The mill should grind the same, only the sawdust is different.

@@igotbricotools2035 la materiale pana in 6mm grosime duzele merg foarte bine. Am taiat aproximativ 3 metri de tabla.de 6 mm cu o singura duza si inaca mai merge.

Супер , молодец!! Я изготовил дробилку такого же плана,-молотковую дробит зерновые,сено,початки кукурузы,на вал установил вентилятор и дробленная масса уходит в мешок через цыклон.
