DIY Hawaiian umbrella bonsai

In this video we take a overgrown Schefflera bonsai (Hawaiian umbrella) and turn it into a nice Bonsai tree. What we show here is the progress made in about 1,5 years time - stay tuned to see how this tree turns out in 1-2 years from now!

I’m curious to know how you encourage a Schefflera to grow multiple trunks like this in the first place. All the ones I have seen in garden centres have a single straight trunk.

Ah well you'd have to find material - or grow it from cuttings and put the rooted cuttings in one planting tied together.
