I would love to win the stand mixer, I was actually looking to buy one because I don't have it. About a year ago I got a horrible short layer haircut at a salon by the owner, I tried styling it different ways nothing worked every single style I made you could tell that I had a horrible choppy short disconnected layers. I have to wait 2 more years for it to grow a proper length. I became depressed because all my life I had long hair and it became who im.I know some people say it's just hair not the end of the world, but to me it's not just that it's what makes me feel feminine and beautiful and It takes me lots of time and money to grow it healthy and strong. I became obsessed with making home remedies oils, butters and indian herbs. Searching on KZbin for remedies i discovered your channel I fell in love with it I subscribed and I even bought your hair butter I'm so in love with. After using your butter and diy oils that I made my hair is growing, I even grow herbs for hair growth such as mint, rosemary and lavander to infuse or make them as a rinse. I’ve been making DIY hair and skin products for 1.5 years now, because I struggled suddenly with extremely dry high porosity hair. To solve the problem I started experimenting with making my own products. Believe or not, your DIY avocado deep conditioner was the FIRST thing I ever made back in 2019 and my oh my it made my hair so soft! I’ve since been writing a lot of my own recipes yet I don’t have all of the proper equipment to make things in bulk (I *did* want to sell the products as a little side gig). I gift oils to my friends on birthdays and holidays but have not branched out beyond that because of how big a task like this is without the right tools. Having the stand mixer could help solve that!

I never really thought that I start creating my own beauty line. But since COVID and my extreme drug reaction, it has been my mission to use only natural products. I currently battle lichen planus which has always been in my system, it just needed a light to start it. In addition to this drug reaction that I was on (clinical trial) it has left balds spots on my head and it's very thin and weak. So the doctors once again wanted me to take more drugs to battle what has happened to my skin and to my hair. I refused!!! I've been doing some homemade soaps and hair butters, but after much trial and error, my little mixer died on me. Haven't had the ump to get another one as good old hand mixing is doable. Winning this mixer would be a blessing as I can continue to find the right products that'll be best for my skin and hair. This has been a battle and I'm not giving up.

My love for DIY started back in 2013. I was sooo excited and thought I have found the holy grail. After years of practice and tests of my creations on myself and many, MANY fails, I developed a range of products I often DIY for myself and family. I was proud that I could prepare something by myself and use it, I used to think to myself : wouldn't it be great if I could open a small business, would anyone want to buy my products... but I was too scared to take a chance on myself and never considered it seriously (I might have had a chance, the market wasn't as saturated as today lol) until last year. I'm a licensed nail technician and I make hand care products for my clients like lotions, balms, and whipped hand scrubs. I've yet to buy a stand mixer lol. I've been using a hand mixer and between doing nails 5 days a week for 8 plus hours and making my products, my wrist could use the reprieve. I've been following for a while and your videos have helped me tremendously creating my hand lotion and figuring out what helps best with keeping my client's hand hydrated. It was a blessing to come across your channel. I am currently working on my skincare, body care, and hair line but have to mix everything by hand. I started this line because my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and everything that she used on her skin burned her. I started doing research and noticed that ALOT of the products we use are laden with heavy carcinogens and cancerous parabens and carcinogens. I also lost a close family member who had skin cancer. So glad you upgraded to the Kitchen Aid stand mixer. 🙌🏾 I watched some of your videos in the past and was thinking "She should get a KitchenAid to make her creating process easier." I've had mine for over 10 years. Still going strong! Absolutely Love It! 💜 I initially bought it to make my life easier in the kitchen. Mixing up heavy cookie dough was making my arms sore for days after. But, I started using it for everything else when making food recipes. Then, two years ago, I started making DIY hair and body recipes. I was so grateful that I had my KitchenAid stand mixer. Watching all the KZbin Natural Hair creators use a hand mixer was giving me concern for their hands and arms. You need a lot of strength and endurance to get the butters light and fluffy. They must've been tired standing there for 15 minutes! I truly believe that everyone should have a KitchenAid stand mixer if they make any DIY products, be it for personal use or for sale to the public. Hey Yaya! I’m posting as mentioned in your description box that you will be reading these comments and I hope it reaches you. I started watching your channel maybe 2 years ago when you talked about marshmallow root cream, I was new to all this and your video was really helpful. Then there was a huge shift in your videos and how it was very scientific in a way. I started experimenting using some products you mentioned and I actually enjoyed it. I don’t like to mention this, but I lost a lot of hair due to my mental health. I moved to a new country that literally on the other end of the world, I went to a university that uses a different language than my mother tongue, and the people I met weren’t very kind. I hated it, I still do. It was all too much. I loved watching your videos from time to time because at first I was too busy and mentally drained to mix this and whip that so to ‘help’ my hair, I just bought some really bad hair products (although publicly claimed miracle products) with the little money I made from having a job and my hair just... went through it. After a while, I stopped buying products all together and went back to my own cocoon and just disconnected completely from the world. I would watch your videos along with other youtubers. I liked it. It was peaceful. I thought it was educational in a way. I’m still not in a good space but I’m trying. Before all this I had the plan to start my own business of making haircare products that are natural and clean and aren’t labeled $100+ for having 5 ingredients total. For people that are actually going through it and for people who don’t know better and who are barely making ends meet. I have developed a few formulas actually but ever since life has been a huge test for me, I still have those post-its in my drawer, some samples I made, and the design for the brand itself as well as and a bunch of fresh dried herbs that are brand new and unopened. I think I would like to win this as a start for my motivation. I wanted to utilize shea butter, kokum butter, and many other things that can be beautifully whipped and used. But I personally don’t own a stand mixer, let alone any mixer. I just crush it with a spoon and mix some oils then whisk it by hand. If I do end up standing on my feet and starting that, I would still let you know regardless of winning this or not. I would use the mixer to help start my natural hair products business. I've got a small immersion blender that my mom got from the casino a couple years back. This looks SO luscious and gorgeous!!!!! I love your recipes! Since watching I've completely fallen in love with shea butter....It helps my skin SO much and I've been trying it mixed with other oils in my hair to...I've also mixed a little undereye mix I love and made some for family and friends. But I have rheumatoid arthritis so holding a hand mixer or mixing by hand doesn't work very well. I'm unable to help my husband in full time work due to my health, so thats not fun...and he's been out ofnwork most of this year despite killing himself trying....so I hate being such a drain on him....he'd never say that, thats just my own worry 🥴 But I'd love to maybe have a small business with hair and skin care. I'm nothing special nor talented like you, but something small would feel amazing. I love your channel, Yaya. Ever since I discovered you, I think I've watched all your DIY videos, many of them, multiple times. I started DIY-ing because I couldn't find products that worked for my Type 4 hair. You have since inspired me to make a variety of DIYs and even start my own YT channel. Hi Yaya love you videos. Your diy leave in conditioner videos helped me to experiment with making my own leave in. I have tired products from the store which are expensive in price and never really moisturize my hair like I want it too. I would use the stand mixer to formulate a good leave in conditioner, hair gel, & hair cream for myself/family & small business. I've been using a hand mixer and following some of your recipes. The hand mixer works okay but a stand mixer will definitely take my end product to a different level. With the hand mixer I find myself only being able to do small batches at a time. The stand mixer would be a huge time saver. Good luck to everyone!

I've been making a body butter for less than a year. Basically a little timid to really branch out in the market. I have had so many wonderful reviews, several stating that the product clear poison ivy in 1 day, excellent for loc etc. I recently received some feedback from someone that wants to order my product wholesale monthly which will create awesome income which it didn't like I could do. I've had several request of people wanting whipped items which I created yet because I dont have a mixer. This request has given me a total different outlook on getting my product out in the market and taking it to another level.

Hi Yaya! DIYing is something I started a few years ago after experiencing heat damage. I’m constantly being asked what I use or if I can make some for others. Didn’t think I would have a large clientele however, after my recent rinse that took my curls to a million, I’ve been getting tons of messages from people wanting to be testers and wanting to buy some. I’ve already invested $1000 into ingredients. I still need a few items like the stand mixer, a new ph reader, and a few more ingredients. This stand mixer will definitely help increase my production of products.

I've always been that go to person for hair and have been toying with the idea of starting a hair product business for years! I love hair but because of fear of failure and niggling feelings that everything has to be perfect and several pre-conditions have to be met before I do it has led to inaction. Love this DIY. I've been considering purchasing a stand mixture for awhile. Not only will the stand mixture look lovely in my kitchen but it will be a great addition to my tools of the trade, and it will allow more time efficient creations and productivity would increase (large batches woo oooh look). I love my stick blender but it's not optimum in trying to make large batches of anything.

I used those dried herbs with sunflower oil. I put half the herbs in a freezer bag and added the oil, seal bag and put it in my cabinet until needed. I use it alone or as a treatment in a thick conditioner w/ cap and heat.

To preface, I don’t want to enter for the mixer but for the butter. 🙈 I know there’s plenty of others who would deserve it more because I primarily do DIYs for hobby not as a business. I just wanted and love to try products I wouldn’t normally find in store or at a steep price using ingredients that aren’t the cheapest. I want to help people especially women and more specifically Black women live a healthier life. Much of the products out on the market are full of harmful and negative ingredients and chemicals that affect ones health. At this time, after my process is complete, I use the mixer that is small and hand held. I am getting a little older and the last time I did this process it left my right hand in pain. If I was to win the kitchen aid, I would use it for a few things. I love to do lotions and hair growth not for sale but for personal use because I don’t know how to go about selling and stuff. I started to learn about natural products so that I can use due to my son having depression and anxiety, reading ingredients and how many can cause lots of sickness.
