. Herbarium is a place where dried and pressed plant specimens, mounted on sheets are kept systematically according to a widely accepted system of classification. In this TACtivity, you will make a herbarium sheet for specimens you can find in your neighborhood.

if the plant is a shrub or herb then it is supposed to be taken with root and if a tree then the finest branch should be taken. The sheet should be 41*29cm² And at the right corner, a label of 7*12cm² should be used in which date of collection , name of the maker, botanical name ,English name and local names should be written. Also region of collection

U can use tape

You can, but it may look ugly, peel off, unless you put it all over, which would then defeat the purpose.

You should be able to take a sheet of any size. The mentioned size matches our template. But you may choose your own if you want.

How fast the leaves dry depends on a lot of things: temperature, humidity, freshness of the leaf etc. So we recommend anything from a few days to a couple of weeks.

By plastic bag, I assume you mean the plastic file itself. Anything, but a minimum of 3 days. Naphthalene balls are to prevent any bugs/insects from eating/spoiling your leaves / herbarium sheet. In that sense, they are optional, as long as you can ensure that you can keep your sheet safely away from paper/leaf eating insects and bugs.
