If these are insulated garage doors, it is recommended that you apply caulk on the screw hole before installing the screw to help seal the door panel from moisture.

Hi They should be good for any type. My doors are insulated steel. If hollow steel, be careful not to drive screws too tight and distort the metal. Good luck.
