Really cool idea, and the project was presented in a fun, easy to understand way. Thank you!! :)

Im going to take the much cheaper and simpler route and use my favorite pair of normal non toe socks (my toes will still move free anyways) and just spray around 3 layers of plasti dip on them then coat over it with some shoe goo for added padding/cushion/durability. =)

Great idea using a basketball. Probably cheaper than buying a sheet of rubber like I did. And probably more durable too.

Man I went on here searching for a how to.. Your video was hard to find actually being that a bunch of dance shoe howto videos show up in the search.. but damn Im glad I persevered. Your video is superior to the other one with all the views. That basketball tread is an awesome idea too! Im going to make some with the kids this weekend. Thank man

I'd be very interested to hear how well the b-ball rubber held up. Did it last long enough, or did it wear quickly ?
@sycamorevalley85802 жыл бұрын
I would wrap my feet/toes in plastic wrap, put the socks on, and paint my feet with something non-toxic and lightly stiffening, like modpodge - and allow that to dry. This will make it YOUR foot shape - not cotton balls. I'd also paint on the rubber, not dip. Just because it's called dip doesn't mean you have to dip. That is a lot of wasted dip unless you do lots of shoes at the same time. I'd use flexseal, because I have used it before.

This is such a great idea, I may use this to make a minimalist version for the barefoot running affect.

Maybe there is a way to do this using conductive materials making it more of an earthing shoe?

The main and key question is....is this project actually worth it? Because to me it seems as if after your done buying all these items your probably better off just saving time and money to go and buy premade ones.
@ClearMagic2119 жыл бұрын
The cans of dip cost $8 each and the socks cost $7. The rest of the stuff i already had. So really it's cheaper if you got some of the crap laying around. Fun to make though and that's what counts. :)
@JoeysAdventures9 жыл бұрын
citystars1117 Buying some of the shoes premade can cost you up to 80 dollars. These shoes are alot cheaper and dont require too much work, so personally i would make them VS buying some premade ones
@leonpse6 жыл бұрын
He also custom made it to his own feet. The cost of custom made shoe shoots the price sky high.
