DIY Homemade Shampoo w/ Ambunu Leaves | Trying African Herbal Shampoo for the FIRST TIME

First time trying Ambunu leaves to see how well it can cleanse, detangle and moisturize my curly hair. Ambunu is an African beauty secret among the women of Chad. This African herbal shampoo boasts a ton of benefits for natural curly hair, a few of them being that they can gently cleanse the scalp and detangle the hair at the same time! To me that’s really amazing because if it works for me I can eliminate more steps from my wash day routine. Nowadays ease is what I’m looking for in my DIY curly hair product routine. I can’t wait to test out this softening and cleansing herb and see how well my curls will respond to it.

Thank you for all your helpful videos! I have a lot of product sensitivity so I’ve been going the DIY route and I want to try this. I am wondering though how often this can be used and if I can use this to totally replace my shampoo altogether. I usually wash my hair twice a week.

You are so welcome! I'd def stick to using this at most once a week since it safely cleans hair from root to tip. If you do a second wash you may want to stick with just co-washing/conditioning mid shaft to ends using a lightweight conditioner. I hope this helps!

Help me please, i have same curls as yours but they are definitely not define very much scary. Lot of build-up on scalp. Shampoo clear the buildup leaving my hair like birds nest. 2:00 ⬅️ freezer info & it can be stored in the fridge up to 7 days but keep on monitoring for weird smells because how cold your fridge is dictates whether it can last the full 7 days or less.

Hi love, I would do it in this order: 1. Hair Mask + Rinse 2. LCO 3. Flaxseed Gel 4. Air dry or diffuse (whichever method you prefer) Hope this helps 💜

When you said you washed out this shampoo.....did you just rinse with water or did you use your regular shampoo to wash out this detangling one? I apologize if this is a silly question.
