did you originally have the light blinkers in your mirrors, as in were they just full covers and not cutout with the spaces for the lights? mine does not have built in lights in the mirrors

My thing Honda fit only had a signal light lense on the left mirror

All other stuff you Showed I really Don't need, I wished you would have showed how did you Removed the Side Mirror Bolts Cover. that's the one I am interested on seeing, because I do not want to break the cover. Good video though, Thanks! LOL, LVL, LOL!

hi, in my case a mechanic installed the mirror and all ok, the only issue is that my mirror had a camara and now every time I make the signal to the right instead of getting the camara comes out "AIMING IS NOT COMPLETE" do you know how to get the camara to work again? I will appreciate some help, thank you

There are three wires coming from the mirror; red, black, and gray. I understand the red connected to positive and black to ground, but what did you connect the gray wire to? Thanks.

Nothing. The grey wire is the blue light wire.

Where did you run the passenger side wire to get it over to the fuse box which is located on the drivers side to connect the wires?

Thanks for great video. I know its old, but 2 questions for you or anyone who knows. 1) Will these instructions apply to a 2008 Fit, I'm only replacing the mirror assembly (not the cover). And 2) Why is it that one needs to remove the speaker...can't understand what that wire connector has to do with the mirror, or is a harness connected or something?

Jephu Thanks for the quick response. Sorry. I was unclear. I need to replace the whole housing (mirror and cover), just not the LED part. Can I follow parts of the directions in this video? Or will I end up in trouble? It seems doable until I get to the LED part.

Diane Flynn Ehmann Yes, You can follow this instruction on how to replace the side view mirror assembly. You can skip all the led wiring instructions. 1. you have to remove the door assembly. 2. unplug the blue connector (1:46 mark on the video) 3. pull back the liner and release the white clip backing that holds the wire harness (3:01 mark on the video) 3. you need to remove the the small triangle plastic piece cover so that you can have access to remove the 3 8mm bolts. (3:15) 4. pull the mirror assembly out along with the wire harness that you unplugged on step 2. (4:00 mark on the video) Get your new assembly and insert back into the side, Tighten the 3 8mm bolts. (10:20) Route the wires back into the slot -- BE very mindful that you have to route it behind the glass.(10:55) clip the wire harness clip back into the hole put back the liner and clip the blue wire reinstall the door and the triangle cover.

Bill Tea I'm using 18awg t tap connectors. You can buy them at any auto store.

Khurram Shahzad Pretty much the same procedure. Remove side mirror - Remove glass - insert led arrow - tap the wires for the turn signal and reinstall.
