DIY HOT Wheels Race Truck Powered by 2x CO2 Cartridges
In today's video I show you how to make wooden hot wheels truck powered by 2x CO2 cartridges. It got too much power, so as result the truck is quite unstable. Anyway, we get interesting race between 2017 race car model and 2018 truck. Who wins?
Also, we made automatic launchers for each car to let them start at the same time.

This is so cool!!! I did this in 7th grade, in workshop. The wood we used was really light. We used a fishing line and hooks to keep the cars from going off the track.

We did this 25yrs ago, in my 8th grade enrichment program. We, however, put eyelet screws under the cars and ran fishing libe through. It kept all cars straight and controlled. Your race has its merits, but it would have been nice to see that truck hit max velocity :)

Parm Mohan no its a center of force the motors are sitting too high on the truck using the cab like a leaver to flip forward the co2 needs to be mounted lower like the car

mongo00126 Really? You think a centimeter or two will make a difference on the center of force? I disagree with you. You would be right if these were bigger, but they are not. The blunt air friction is slowing down the truck and causing turbulence so it goes off the track. The wedge car has the air pushing the car down and holding it to the track.

We did these in HS shop class. Then I discovered a model rocket engine is the same diameter as a CO2 cartridge! I hit the "GO" button on my rocket car the same time the other kid popped the CO2 cart. He got the hole shot because of the slight delay for the Rocket Engine to light off but my car passed his and won. AND shattered to bits when it hit the 2x4 at the end...

You should have put a "Spoiler" on the Truck 🚚 after all you did, a spoiler would have been great 👍 so the back did not have to rise up due to that extreme torque. !! 🙂

Sometimes there are too much push at Mad Truck's rear and lighter weight on the rear so the Rear part gets air time causing the lost of balance and giving the whole car a spinny air time which is quite fun to watch.

Co2's on the truck should be top and bottom instead of side by side. That way even if the pressure is uneven the truck wont be pushed side to side uncontrollably...just a thought
