the problem with this design is that the chain directly sits on the wheel and thats where a lot of power is translated when the bike is shaking because of uneaven terrain for example or driving on over obstacles. The chain will most likely Jump off when the bike hits an obstacle, thats what i feel could happen

I know the chain is more advanced in a few ways but it also has a downside as it keeps falling off while driving which is a problem you dont have with gears only. I think they should reinvent gears only but with modern technology, maybe it would be better and more stable for a bike.
