Thank you so much for this!! I’ve been looking for this exact video for MONTHS, and you did such a good job showing and explaining all of it, but I especially appreciated how you included wrapping up the ends - I haven’t seen a video that explains how to do this project from start to finish like yours, but after watching yours I feel empowered to finally make my own! Thanks again, and phenomenal job ❤️

Thank you for this video and explaining so well! Do you make a knot at the beginning when starting?
@sewbakemake
@sewbakemake Жыл бұрын
Thank you, glad the video was helpful! You can knot it, but I find the knot can just pull through the sweater depending on how open the stitches are! You could knot it and also weave in that beginning length of yarn to make it extra secure!

Thank you so much! I’d suggest practicing on paper first if you’re not ready for a sweater! Or maybe thrifting a cheap sweater to practice on!

Hope it was helpful!! I ended the stitches where they meet (at the intersection), then picked them back up on the other side. Hopefully that makes sense?!

Im having a hard time understanding this part too.. saw in the back that there was loose pieces so I am assuming you cut and restated in those areas I just don’t know what the process would look like.. I would love to try this!

Working on this now and I’m wondering if it needs to be one continuous piece of yarn if not how do you stop and start it to make it look good?
@sewbakemake
@sewbakemake Жыл бұрын
Nope, I used several pieces of yarn! Just start each new piece as close to the last stitch as possible, and weave in all the ends in the back.

Thanks so much for this video! I’m trying a sweater and maybe the yarn I’m using is too thick? It keeps bunching up with each stitch and does not look like yours. Help!

@sewbakemake

Hi! I’d wash on delicate or gentle. The embroidery shouldn’t come loose if you’ve woven in the ends well though!

Do you do each letter individually or is it all together like one stitch ?
@sewbakemake

I did them individually for the most part because of the way they connect with the calligraphy I used😊

I used an acrylic blend wool. You could use almost anything but I would stay away from pure wool as it will shrink/felt in the wash.

I’ve never used chenille yarn, but I’m sure it would work. I would only use it on a decorative pillow case though, as it wouldn’t be very comfortable to sleep on.
