Todd, Did you check your owners manual for mounting jaws instructions ? I ask this because I own the Supernova2, G3, and the pen jaws. I no longer have my manual for the pen jaws but both of my manuals for the Supernova and G3 instruct us to mount the jaws and finger tighten the screws then back off the screws 1/2 turn and then “wind the mounted jaws into the center of the chuck until they butt against the other”. Now finally tighten screws. Check there is no light between jaw slides and add on jaw segments or that one or more segments is not higher or lower than the rest. Hi Rick - thank you very much for calling this out. In fact, I wasn't aware the jaw plates were numbered on the back. What's odd; however, is that the support staff I spoke with never brought any of what you just mentioned to light.
