Desert Cloud Soapworks Very nice! So funny, but as soon as I seen your name, I knew you were from Arizona! I LOVE Prescott, and was going to move there back in 2000. I'm in the process of making this beautiful soap, thanks for the tutorial! I have one small tip....I find it VERY hard to put black dots in the mold where the eyes should be, my first fish looked drunk because the eyes were so crooked :) My next fish I did without eyes and then simply dipped the back of my paintbrush in the black soap again when the fish was out of the mold, made two small dots and presto...eyeballs in the correct place :)

I REALLY LIKE YOUR 3D FISH SOAP TUTORIAL! I Tried it AND my fish turned out OK but the clear MP soap was cloudy and it shows tons of bubble beads in it...thats what I call them. I didn't put fragrance in that part because I had no clear fragrance. I didn't want it cloudy. So I put it in the blue section. I must have a bad batch of clear M&P soap. :(

You might have overheated your soap if it's bubbly and cloudy.

As a fellow soap maker, I was wondering how solid was the first layer of soap when you put the fish in??? Ive made mistakes of putting it in too soon and it floated around

I'd guess around semi hard where it's not a liquid anymore and still where you could push something through it with enough force. You've probably figured out what to do by now but, that's my guess anyway

Those nail polish strips blew me away! I'm not one for nail polish because I can't paint my nails to save my life, and I would never get them professionally done for the price they charge. I would however totally use the strips. They last up to 2 weeks and it really does feel and look like professional nails.

That has got to be one of the coolest soaps I've seen so far. I've been watching soaping videos for about four months. Trying to find out new techniques that other people are trying. And have I been blown away this one beats up all hands down. In the beginning it did not look like the my old was deep enough for the fish I chew have been looking at the same old off of wish which is where I have a bunch of new moles coming in in the next week or so. My stick blender just came in the mail today Amazon it's one of the nicer once I hope it lasts a while it was a combo kit that came with a beaker as well as, a whisk, a chopping Bowl attachment with the blades in it like a mini food processor. It comes with a stand for all of the pieces to fit in, neatley on your counter. I look forward to using it tomorrow when I try to work on a batch of soap. For this one I am doing a test to find out if a double layer corrugated box can be made into a mold. I will be using my bricks other sides and ends alignment with freezer paper as I will tape the box and hot glue the Box seems, we'll see how it turns out they will be poured at a very low temperature you too and beds that we will be placing in them. At what temp do you pour the top layer of clear soap. I tried it and my imbeds melted. Any suggestions?

Get a book on soapmaking. I see you have posted a lot of questions. A good book can help answer them all.

Spritzing with alcohol helps break the surface tension which does a couple of things. It gets rid of bubbles and helps the layers stick together.
