i love DIYs and i think that is great to be super creative BUT there is thin line to cross and doing all of that diys which are about to stealiing some brands look or projects are bad, im a young designer and i hate when someone want to steal my ideas and projects.... soooo, well im not very into that kind of diys ... and for me its also kitchy to recreate big brands ideas.... ;/

Zuzanna Jadczyk I totally hear ya AND I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I guess the way I look at it is... I would rather inspire someone to make a one of a kind piece, FOR THEMSELVES (not for resale) than go out and buy the knock off from forever21, Zara, H&M, Target OR the high end designers that knock off the ultra luxury designers. It sort of happens at every level and trickles down unfortunately. But to me, I see nothing wrong with making a one of a kind piece for your own wardrobe if you can’t afford the original.

Zuzanna Jadczyk This concept isn't really new. This used to be big in the 60s. the difference here is the colors are much more subtle and neutral than the ones decades ago. Unfortunately, if you're a designer, "copying" is all part of the process. There is hardly anything out there that's new. When you're creating an A-line dress, you're copying from someone who made it first. You can't trademark designs, just the logos. Fashion is cyclical and most of these trends cycle every decade or so.
