epic! I can't believe people will look at a tib bar and say to themselves "yeah I will totally pay $150 for that"

Wow! Just built mine following this model. Despite Inflation, this is still cheaper and what I really love is that I can customize this for when I get stronger. Thank you Mr. Olson, this ruled!

These instructions were perfect. Went together very easily. Inflation 2x+ the materials cost but it is really solid and should last forever. Thanks!

Helpful tips: 1. Wipe all parts with a rag. The pipe and fittings will have a coating of oil on them. 2. Pipe wrenches may be necessary to properly tighten and adjust.

Nice design. I'm going to use a longer pipe for the weight loading piece. Then I'm going to make some spacers out of pvc pipe so the flange will screw down and lock the weights in place. Also thinking it might work to just add spacers to move a weight further and further out to increase load rather than adding weights.

And these parts are all pre made for us at Home Depot! Great investment... opens up a whole Rheem of self builds!

Waow. i'm thinking this is nearly perfect. Thank you for sharing our idea and invention. Oh, also, I believe your design and execution is superior to the one referenced, as the example you based yours upon. Excellent refinement of concept.

That wall color is wonderfull especially with the white. Ohh and the tib bar isn't too bad either. 👍 :)

Hey brother, loved your video!! Just would you care to share a link to the 3/4 4” BLACK TEE? For some reason that’s literally the only piece I just can’t seem to find anywhere!!
@LeviOlson792 жыл бұрын
It should just be a 3/4 tee. You don’t need it to be 4”. I’ll have to fix this typo in my instructions.
Materials link is fixed. Thanks for proofreading help.

@@LeviOlson79 Ohhhhh that makes sense now. Well I’m glad it helped! Thanks for the link though! Just ordered everything. And thanks so much for this info. This needs more views for sure!

I priced everything out at lowes and came to a total of around $70. Anyway you can find the items online somewhere and post the links to the material? Thanks
@LeviOlson792 жыл бұрын
I did this about 9 months ago with Home Depot prices. I’m sure supply chain and increased material costs in the construction sector have raised prices. Wish I could control economic issues.

are we using 3/4 or 1" black piping?

Obviously the company caught wind of this and decided to Jack their prices up😏. I went to my local Lowes store to get the parts and it was almost triple the cost😳. I’m going 1 inch CPVC and it’s only 28 dollars. Seems to be plenty strong so we will see.

good job. But I'm surprised that everything is nice and parallel/squared up when you've gotten it tightened completely. Seems like it would not be all aligned when it is tightened fully.
@LeviOlson79 Жыл бұрын
You have to do a little tweaking to make it line up. Manageable though.

FYI, apparently not all floor flanges will accept the nipple from the bottom. After spending an hour trying to screw it in from the bottom, I'm convinced it's impossible.
