If the jaws dont dry in the possession you want or it malformed in drying. Does placing it in water to rehydrate help so you can the reposition jaws to dry better?

I got on here to try and find a way to do this to be done within the next couple days for my sons shark themed birthday (he just caught his first shark, a 5' black tip at 7 years old) but it doesn't look like I will be able to do that.
