For those who make their own wigs, with yarn, or weaving. I used an old pair of stockings to Make a weaving/Wig cap, and just sewed the knots of hair into the That, just make sure you double the thread and dont pull hard if using stockings because it will Rip easily. But this video helped me, because I was making a Wig for my Todoroki cosplay, but couldn't find the weaving cap I had.

I always love the moment when the wig goes on, and the transformation happens. It's like there is a little crowd in my mind applauding. I think your method for making a wig cap is great. The net ones aren't so great for short hairs (and even long haired people have some short hairs which can poke through the net caps). This smooth, all over approach should keep those hairs down and make for a more comfortable experience.

I used an old thigh high that I only had one of (lost the other one) and it works extremely well. And I was less hesitant to try this method with it because I had nothing to lose. Also, since there is only one leg, it makes a smaller knot so that knot is no issue at all!

@Dezi10167 жыл бұрын
Hi Sherry, a wig cap will help with the itching. Also try the WiGrip wig head band. That really holds the wig in place much better than a wig cap. Secures your wig in place with no glue or tape. I use this everyday I wear a wig, and I use them when I wear scarfs and head bands. It works well. I'll leave the link so you can see more info on it. Thanks so much for watching. xoxo ✅amzn.to/2o1cUB0

Would it be possible to use this method when making a full wig out of kanekalon? I can't find any wig cap (fish net looking model) at here so just figured if it would work to use this instead and poke holes in it to lock the kanekalon hair into.

I’m not sure, I’ve never tried that. Have you search Amazon for the caps you need for wig making?

@@Dezi1016 Thank you for the reply, yeah I wish I could get a real wig cap for this, but here in Sweden where I live it's very difficult to find these kind of things, ordinary stores don't have it and importing from China or other countries are super expensive since they add import charges and fees unfortunately. But I will perhaps give it a try, need a big curly hair for my 80s project. :)

@@LUNARIAproject okay, I understand. Now it’s time to think creatively… How about fish net stockings… you could create a nice base with them. Do you have fishnet stockings where you live?

@@Dezi1016 That is really a great idea! I actually had that in mind too, but I don't know for sure if I can get them at the stores at here either, but I think it should be possible. :) I'll try and make a big curly wig and we will see how things will turn out in the end.
