Love this idea with the door mat. So cool... Next time before you drill a hole for your handle, place a piece of painters tape over the spot youre going to drill so it keeps your wood from splitting. Just some friendly advice. I do that with dresser doors, shelves... Any type of thinner wood. Peel the tape off after you drill your hole and it'll be perfect without any splits.

I love it. The ribbing really elevates the piece. I normally go for black handles but in this case I really think brass handles would make it really pop and look expensive.

I just painted a piece of furniture black recently with a very smooth finish after not painting furniture in awhile and I overlooked steps, etc. and then I watched a video where the painter shared that black paint can be tricky. Use foam roller. I was in a hurry also. Diffently sand and prime smoother surfaces. But in the end all was OK. 😃

Yea, it a no on the first pari of sneaks, they look like something sponsored by NASA for the next moonwalk. The shoes extend so much from the foot it could make a person clucksie and cause possibe falls. The second pair looks better because of the contrasting tones. I am sure you will figure out to make them work for you, I got a pair of Dr. Martens during last Fall that look similar and have the ankle ties. I really like the finished project and who would know that you used a floor mat for the doors. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

Hey love I just realized It's actually from Rona not Home Depot, I made a mistake the name of the door mat is called "FHE double door Entrance Mat" hope it helps! 🤗💕
