BOHO DRESSER RESTORATION | Before and After

Hey loves, I found this mid-century boho dresser and I did a fantastic restoration with it. I'm show before and after images as well as how I did it. I think it's very Boho and I love how the dresser came out. I thought it would be fun to make it over and bring it back to its original look, but with a modern twist. I hope you guys love it as much as I do!!!!

Just about cried when you said that you were taking it back to its original state. Halleluja! People think they are "refabbing" these beautiful pieces of furniture when they apply these horrendous colors in order to Ikea-ize them. They don't understand the real intent of MCM which was simplify & beautify with design & stain. Finally, back to what nature intended.

Absolutely stunning...the first was nice...but you brought it up to the next level with the stain in this reddish brown... insane... loved the long handles you put in in gold,it makes it so unique!!!! I just bought a Mid-Century dresser in it’s original condition, stained, and will be giving it a light sanding and polyurethane coat to freshen it up. The wood is beautiful, it’s Mahogany and looks like your dresser - glad you stripped it back to the natural beauty of the wood. It turned out beautifully!👍🏻

Love, love, love your version of his dresser. Looked like so much work. Hubby and are going to start redecorating our home later this summer, and we’re so excited. Katia I love the refinished piece. The only way I would have painted it to begin with was if the wood was damaged in some way and had to be repaired and the repairs concealed. In the case of hiding repairs then I would consider using an ebony stain or paint and brass or gold hardware. You did a very professional job on this dresser.

Great update on that dresser....big improvement ! It would look great with the center panels and top with either a white wash, a grey wash, or a slightly darker stain. Big job, great result !!!!!
