This is exactly how I was thinking of making mine! (As soon as I take the time to get it) I made my grandma’s 29 g aquarium into a terrarium with dart frogs 5 or 6 years ago & I love adding cork & mopani

Girl! You did not put a monstera (swiss cheese plant) in there. Lmfao, my monstera is half the size of my apartment now, over 4 feet tall and and like three yards wide? And the roots go crazy!! I hope your build is ok! It looks fantastic, but you might wanna remove that one monstera, only thing I saw might cause an issue besides another comment saying cover the fan so froggie limbs dont get hurt. What a beautifully done art piece. And your energy is just so fun! Thanks for the idea, i'm doing it myself as I type this i'm waiting for everything to dry up. ^^

Hi Love, My partner and I own about 100 maybe even more plants, including about 5 variations of monstera. The one I put in this enclosure is just a cutting from one of my larger plants, and as they grow bigger and take up more space all of the plants get pruned!

I got this exact same cabinet and was planning to do the same thing for my WTFs!! What awesome timing that I found your video as I'm ready to start my project. Do you have any concerns with rust on the inside? I was debating somehow sealing the top and frame inside as I'm not certain how the Ikea metal will hold up under high humidity.

what a great question!!! This is my 5th build with these materials and one has been up for a year! I havent had any issues with rust except on parts of metal I drilled or cut, in that case I sealed!!!! the metal on ikea products like the display cabinets is powder coated steel! Powder coated steel offers excellent weather and strength protection, making it an excellent choice for creating strong, anti-corrosive furniture frames.

You best have a mesh cover over the fans, one pf the frogs limbs may get trapped inside. Love the set up though!

what kind of expandable foam are you using, is there one that isn't toxic? I had to research foam for a job and what I read is that besides being non-recyclable just being in a room it is bad for health. Did you seal it with something?

okay did a little research, expanable foam is polyurethane, the foam I was researching for a job was polystyrene. polyurethane is still inevitible landfill waste but even though toxic when spraying becomes inert. wish there was another option besides spray plastic foams
