I love that shower. My shower is in horrible condition. I really need to replace it, but the cost for a normal shower is insane. This could be my solution. Thank you.

Go for it! Been about 3 years now used daily and no problems at all here. If you already have waterproof walls etc. it could be very easy to cover and go for something similar with minimal cost and effort. Best of luck. Thanks for watching. 😀

Whether it's to everyone's taste or not make no difference, it still looks really really good. It's very creative and functional, and if anyone doesn't like the Galvanized shower idea or simply just the aging process of the galvanized sheets, then they can alternatively use Zinc Alum/Mini Orb sheets instead..They're similar but shiny and age differently for anyone who isn't already aware. There are other options for pipe colour and wooden toilet seats available if grey isn't their colour of choice, and there's alway's the option to build a timber box or a Gal or Zinc Alum box around the ceramic base of the toilet if the prefer to just hide the traditional look of the toilet base. There are so many different variants that are available and on a budget. I personally think it's great how you thought outside the box and customised it to your own liking, so thank's for sharing an awesome idea. ☀️🙏☀️

@luxsabre3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, no signs of any mold or mildew at all after 2 years now, I think the key with any sort of mold issue is actually to have the area as open as possible and not closed for air flow.

I love this bathroom. I'm redoing my whole house. I'm starting with the bathroom, and I'm doing corrugated metal shower tub walls. I've never done any renovation or construction, but I was kind of left alone to do it myself, so I'm figuring it out. I bought a really shity mobile home, and everything needs to be and it's made out of Staples and cardboard, basically. I'm pretty much doing a steampunk theme, but it's not that obvious because I've simplified a lot and added a lot of skull theme. But I would love to get any tips on how you did the corrugated metal shower. But I feel like with a tub, it adds some complications to where it connects and waterproofing it. I also love the lights you make. I'll be sure to check out your website and more of your videos because I'm learning everything on KZbin. Thanks for being unique and not doing everything white, which sucks. I know this video was from 3 years ago, but I'm just seeing it now, so it's fresh to me. Thanks again for your creativity and uniqueness. Also I never leave comments so this must have been pretty special.
@luxsabre Жыл бұрын
Awww thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, really appreciate it! Good luck with your project, just go for it and give it a go. With the metal sheets I simply waterproofed the wall before fixing them with waterproof fixings, there’s loads of techniques on this but I kept it as simple and cheap as possible. It’s been almost 4 years now and the bathroom looks exactly the same with no problems, I’ve also added some fake plastic steam pipes which might go well with your style, everyone thinks they are real lol Good luck and thank you for watching!
@reena34 Жыл бұрын
@luxsabre thanks for your response. I have been watching so many videos, but there aren't many with a tub and corrugated metal. I'm just trying to think of how to seal and waterproof where it meets the tub I know I should put a lot of waterproof caulk but then I'm wondering what to put on it so it covers that. Most of the examples of seeing how just been showers. I'm going to make an outdoor shower that has the corrugated metal, and I feel like that would be pretty easy, but everything that seems he's he's never really easy. Hopefully, I'll eventually finish, and I'll send you a photo. Every single part is getting changed, from the floors to the ceiling to all the appliances. And now I'm finding some rotten black mold in the floor. Yay, fun

Super job! Been thinking to put corrugated metal in my bathroom also and use it as a feature wall in another part of the house. The corrugated metal is a super option and also cheap here in Italy. I'm trying to figure out if on the (feature) wall where I will install the corrugated metal - should I install some moulding/strip near the ceiling to cover the metal edge to give it a more finished look? Thoughts?
@luxsabre Жыл бұрын
Hi, go for it! If it’s not going all the way to the ceiling then I would suggest some type of finishing piece yes. Especially if you have to cut down the sheets leaving a rough edge. A simple piece of wood can work perfectly as I have done here around the shower top. One piece of wood flush with the sheets and then another wider piece to cover the top is a very easy and cheap option. The whole installation is now 3-4 years old and still looks as good without any problems. Thank you for watching, lots more videos coming soon.
