Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s super helpful. I think it’s criminal what they charge for the display. Contrary to popular belief, the lcd display and ribbon cable can be repaired. If not able to repair the lcd display can be sourced, new, for hardly anything. The days of middlemen are over. How did you make out did you finish the repair?

@@ktoutdoor yes! But my model was where I had to release from the top of dash and tilt face of cover towards steering wheel. Thus having just enough room to remove screws from assembly lift it entirely through metal framing and up over the dash. Then follow your lead removing the screen etc. All tested well when done certain for game Guage. I did not place dial at zero so now my empty reads 3/4. I can fix. Ty again for building my confidence.

Thanks for your great videos!, When I find my fixer upper Workhorse I will know what to do since I watched all your videos! I am kind of surprised how much you have done to yours with such low miles, it doesn't scare me, Lots of good tips ,I'm sure I will need to know how to get the park break off on the one I buy so I can drive it home! I buy broken things cheap and fix them, its how I roll! (retired mechanic)
