Awesome illustration, i never seen this before & never made it myself,. I admit i am a straight man with no other half, i am truly inspired with the art of making a homemade thread like jewelry,. i started watching this almost everyday, following your instructions, at least I made one & gave one for my wife, my sisters & my old mother & going down to my grandkids & there friends,. so beautiful & thanks for sharing your video,..

trying this with some pretty huge beads (compared to your 8mm) and I'm just working around the first side of my first bead. I've followed every step up to now and plan to continue and hope it works. I will let u know. thanks for all the tutorials. this is my first macrame bracelet after I did a chevron friendship bracelet which I assume is similar and before that I have gotten into paracord bracelet that I'm still at beginner levels of but all of this is really saving my life. I won't get into too much detail about that but thank you so much for being a part of that and helping me.

What are the size of those beads, seems they need to have a fair size hole for all the threads to fit through.

well I think I've got it down. messed it up a lot the first two loops but I redid it and I think I have it down although my initial loop at the very beginning of the video either came undone or spread out on one side and I'm not sure when or how since it was under tape but oh well I will figure it out. thanks again

so beautiful, just found your site, had never heard of macrame before and im loving it,could you tell me what is the name of the thread you use because i would like to start making these lovely bracelets, thank you.x
@elizabethcalloway82909 жыл бұрын
I'm using regular embroidery thread like they do for friendship bracelets which from what I can tell is a form of macrame but you can also use thin hemp cord or even wire cord for some macrame. I think really any thin cord or embroidery thread will work.

mimih kusmini yes, she tells what length we need and diameter, but I wanted to know if it's cotton or something else.

+Rica Bahnari you can use any. usually it's embroidery thread like here but u can use hemp cord or any thin cord. sometimes they even do macrame with wire cord.
@rica93179 жыл бұрын
+elizabeth calloway thank you! I knew I can use about anything, but I like how it looks in the video so I wanted to use the same thread in order to obtain the same "visual effect". Didn't know it's the same as for embroidery :)
@mgenidesigns47316 жыл бұрын
Rica Bahnari she used a simple ball of wool in her choice of colours. You can see she has laid the bracelet on the 2 balls of wool she is using at the beginning of the video

Macrame School When you list the length in the video, is that total length (ie 2X200cm) which you would then fold over in half when joining? (sorry, new to macrame and the cord length when doing tutorials is the most confusing part for me)
