Your triptych of leaves was fantastic. I absolutely love dollar tree vinyl. I love it mostly for the exact reason that you pointed out and that is that it isn't permanent. It peels up like a dream, and can be lifted up and placed again if need be. Anything that I put outside or containers I have labeled in my fridge have to be sealed with Mod Podge, but that is truly no big deal to me. It is so incredibly renter friendly. At 1.25 per roll it could be used on smooth walls as wallpaper or used to put names and fun designs on bedroom doors. I originally felt so stupid for buying 2 of literally every color (jumped the gun much) but then I realized that while it can't always be used for the same things as cricut vinyl , it holds its own place within my crafting tool repertoire!
@angelajonesdiy2 жыл бұрын
It certainly does I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Especially because I had watched some review views where the Cricut would cut right through the backer and they showed the vinyl was super thin. But I didn’t run into any issues with it

Loved all these DIY's! No, that wall paper doesn't remind me of 70's or 80's paneling, it's much prettier! I think the paneling Brandi was thinking of, in the 80's was that really light wood look in straight panel boards. It's hard to explain, 😅 TFS!

I don't know if you have heard this tip but of your spray paint is staying tacky, take a small water bottle spray/mister. Do a light mist of water on it and it will be dry in no time. :)

The white one
@PaigeNicoleKomar2 жыл бұрын
Spray paint doesn't dry on plastic unless it's made for plastic but if you put a layer of mod podge and then let it dry, then sptay paint, that should work!

What is the “pole wrap” that you used to frame out the monstera art? Gorgeous!
@angelajonesdiy2 жыл бұрын
So I actually used the pole wrap on a much larger project in my living room. It is from Home Depot and kind of expensive. Below is the link. But I found these craft sticks on Amazon that would give the same look and much less expensive. That is the second link! www.homedepot.com/s/pole%20wrap?searchtype=text&NCNI-5 amzn.to/3RgCMnM

I love the Dollar Tree vinyl. Some of it needs to be cut on the washi tape setting like their holographic one. Also their glitter ones don't pick up with transfer tape. Has anyone found a way to do that? Kelly Barlow does a jewelry rack with the jenga blocks. It's awesome. I made 2 for my jewelry, and 2 for my mother in law. I even made some and glued little mini clothes pins on and clipped pictured onto. I made a little tower to hold all of my remotes and my glasses to I always know where they are. Those little blocks are AWESOME!!
@angelajonesdiy2 жыл бұрын
The blocks are definitely awesome! I have not tried the holographic or glitter dollar tree vinyl yet but I have seen some reviews where you need to use the washi tape setting since it’s thinner. I’m sure I won’t remember that whenever I get around to try it 🤦♀️

Everything turned out beautiful! As for the D.T vinyl its hit n miss. Love hate relationship with it honestly. Bigger projects not so bad but small words(n thinner) or more intricate design the harder it is to weed n to adhere to projects. N ive tried different tips n tricks to help as well.
@angelajonesdiy2 жыл бұрын
Interesting that’s good to know. Is the vinyl quality hit or miss also? I’ve seen videos where the Cricut blade goes straight through the backing
@hanadiabdelrazig43722 жыл бұрын
From where did you get the mold please
@angelajonesdiy2 жыл бұрын
I had to search for an IOD retailer in my area. If you go to the IOD website you can search for one near you. Or there are other KZbinrs who sell them but shipping is pretty expensive. Sonnets garden blooms is a channel I enjoy and she sells IOD products if you can’t find someone in your area
