I bought quite a few pieces of pearl jewelry while in Cape Town / South Africa, a few years ago. There were some that came to the conference I was at, to offer their beautiful work to us participants and they had a lot of work with them. I saw the same type of things in stores there too, but it all was in a slightly smaller beads than she uses here. The type of beads aren’t all uniformly made though like the ones she uses here. The beads are slightly rounded. I think the diameter is about the same, but those she uses here are taller than the ones in the necklaces, earrings etc. I bought some of.

I’ll give those rings to my sister for a birthday present!😂 Look what you did!😅

Thanks a lot for this video (which out of the blue came in my feed)!!! I didn’t know I needed this, but actually I think that is something I’ll enjoy. Also, I think it would be cool to make bracelets and rings using traditional knitting patterns!!! It would be real cool for small card purses, makeup bags etc. too… Small trinket boxes? Lots of neat small items, e.g. also matchboxes for by the fireplace at home or at the family cabin… Etc etc… The fantasy sets the limits, I’m sure… One could also use the beads that kids us for beading, only sew with thicker thread, maybe (yarn?) and make larger things. Imagine cool sofa pillows, toiletry bags, diary cover etc. etc. SMH, I got going there, didn’t I, LOL… I’ll stop now!!! But, thanks a lot again, I think this is brilliant!!! I’ve always wondered how it was done. I thought it was woven… 🤗

I've been researching Peyote Stitch to do with my Girl Scout troop. Your video is very helpful, and I think I'm ready to gather supplies and give it a try. Once I get it down for myself and feel like I can teach it to the girls, I do need to know how to make it smaller to fit the girls' smaller fingers without altering the design. Could you tell me how to figure that out?
@snailsandfairydust Жыл бұрын
The ring in this video is very adjustable because you once you get past the design section, you just keep adding the same color. So for smaller fingers, add less, bigger fingers add more. You could also “ measure” fingers ahead of time with a strip of paper so they can keep track of where they need to end. Good luck!
