Great tutorial on how to join. I’ve done something like this in the past but always got stuck on the corners. Very clear on how you do it, and the music is not bothering me at all. I hear you just fine. Thank you for sharing.

I've just gotten back into crochet after many years, my eyesight is not as good as it was and this is a beautiful easy method that doesn't require to see the individual stitches when using dark colors. Thanks you ver much

This is amazing. I made a bag full of granny squares when I first learnt how to crochet. They've been sitting there for years now because I was never bothered to join them. This is fantastic! Thanks so much

hi I have loads of little squares & wanted a way to crochet them together so I came on KZbin to look on how to do it & came across your video. I just want to say thank you for this tutorial I can now crochet my squares together & it looks really nice! 😊
@RedBlushGurl9 жыл бұрын
I did not know there was a method of joining granny squares as you go. I like the idea of this so much better than the single crochet methods I've seen. I can't wait to try it. I'm new to crochet, and have learned entirely through KZbin videos, so would like to thank you for taking the time to make videos like this one. They help immensely! ~ Sierra from Canada

I've been doing borders as I go (on close to 100 squares already), so I'll have to save this method for the next project I have planned. I will experiment to see if it works when you don't do a chain 1 between shells. Incidentally, I love that your hair more or less matches the baby blanket in this video. So cute - and the multi-colored hair works well on you.

That's brilliant, so I'm wondering, do you have any FANTASTIC methods for eliminating that so tedious task of weaving in all those annoying ends of your yarn after each row and each square is complete. That's ALWAYS been my biggest problem with granny squares, even through i love them?

Marie Friess-McSparran Hmmm... I can't personally think of way to join different colours... Are you on the Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 group on Facebook? (I'm admin on it) There are over 12,000 members in it. Surely one of them will know? Sorry I couldn't be more helpful x

OK so correct me if I'm wrong here...BUT....I have a huge stack of small grannies I made in all colors. So let's say I start with a blue granny. I then take my white yarn and add another row to it in white, and *finish that off* - I don't attach it to another square yet. I then would take a second square - let's say orange - and do exactly as I see you doing in this video. Is this correct?
@thecornerofcraft8 жыл бұрын
Exactly that!! I foolishly didn't think to explain about the first square but then again, I didn't expect this video to get the attention it did! x

I'm making a sunburst granny square and I've got all my circles done but I'm having just the worst time connecting them. I've tried to make the last round and single crochet them together and that ended up just terrible. Would you happen to know how to do this with that pattern?
@boris166510 жыл бұрын
Very helpful but how do you actually start with your first and second squares? Thanks
@thecornerofcraft10 жыл бұрын
For the first square, you just crochet around the edge in your border colour. The second square is attached by crocheting around 3 of the sides and attaching on the 4th edge in the same way :)

My granny squares have 6 rounds...would you do this as the last round of your granny square? That sounds like a dumb question to me, but I'd rather ask and know for sure then mess it up entirely!
