I'm working on my own first saltwater tank. 29 gal acrylic drilled my own overflow. Have it in a diy stand. Working on my own diy sump right now too that is 20 gal. Just torn right now on to use 2 part or kalk. Plan on doing more of a coral tank than fish. So my have to go wth 2 part eventually. Ur vids have been a great help tho

No filtration needed except for carbon get a eheim 3650 surface skimmer and use your power head to circulate the tank that's all you need you don't need anything else you don't need any backpack you don't need anything up to 60 gallons okay buddy decide your light add your heater at your power head and get the eheim 350 put in a bag of carbon on a suction cup and there you go

I know this is an old video, but can have this inline with my ATO? So instead of using this as a drip type system, it would be inline ATO -> DIY Reactor -> into sump will this work or will the pressure be to much? Thanks

You guys should sell the oxo containers kalk drippers for those who don't have tools to drill holes and such. Like me. :D I would buy it, saves me the hassle of gathering more stuff and I'm not the most handy person.

What I don't get is drip calculators online say 1 drip per sec is 5 gallons a day. Most ppl that make these use 1 gallon. What am I missing here? Drips can be different sizes??

yes. I tried everything. everything is the same as in the video. when I blow into the short end kalk mix spits out with air, nothing more than that happens.

Okay, good info, I'm still not running any thing yet, I need to do it cause I'm having issues with my ph. 7.6-7.8, can't get it higher. Calcium is at 440. I like they simplicity of it so I will be using kalk really soon. Tnx for your response
