DIY Keychain , Purse Charm Zipper , Pull Upycled

This DIY tutorial will show you how to construct three different purse charms! First is an edgy boho hippie style purse charm, second is beautiful vintage style lace tassel with beads and charms, third is a funky whimsical style zipper pull with unique charms. The possibilities are only limited to your imagination. Whether you want to create for yourself, make as gifts or sell, I will give you loads of detailed instruction so you can get going with confidence and enthusiasm!
I call these purse charms, but these are the same basic design as keychains, zipper pulls, boot charms, boho necklace, junk journal charms and more!
Some specifics that will be taught: how to make a black leather fringe tassel, beading fringe, how to add feathers, vintage lace cutting and more!

I just found your channel and have literally been binge watching you!(not in a creepy way 😂), I teach a class once a week at my local domestic violence/sexual assault shelter and I’m literally ALWAYS looking for new projects for my girls! I generally supply all the materials and equipment for the classes,(printer, cricut machine, vinyl, several hot glue guns, paints, sewing machine, threads, scroll saw, miter saw, scrap wood, blah, blah, blah), I just REALLY want to show them how COMPLETELY CAPABLE they are of thinking outside the box in terms of making a sustainable living for themselves and their children! I’m so passionate about this, therefore; anytime I find a new video on how to upcycle something, or make a new thing out of something that is maybe going to be tossed, I get SUPER EXCITED! The girls look soooooo forward to our classes every week and so many of them come back for class even after they have left the shelter because I try to take projects that they can finish in a day or two so they get a sense of accomplishment! It really gives them a little boost of confidence and motivation to do other things that they might not have necessarily thought of. Sooooo, sorry this is long, but I truly APPRECIATE your videos and next week we’re going to focus on the video you did about those freaking AWESOME $600 jeans!!!!!! The week after I think we’re going to focus on this video! Every week I choose a KZbin video from a creator that I love and we do that particular project. The girls are going to freaking LOVE these and I’ve spent 3 weeks thrifting jeans, floral/bird material, as well as other materials for the patchwork jeans video that you did earlier and I borrowed 3 other sewing machines besides mine to take so the girls can just make something for THEMSELVES! I found lots of super fun material in different prints/colors so the girls can make something that fits their personality! AGAIN, thanks sooooooo much for the FANTASTIC, CLEAR, and INFORMATIVE videos! Absolutely love your style! And the girls are going to LOVE YOU! I’m sooooo excited to share your videos with them! My style is very similar to yours but I appreciate the younger generations ideas and input and I think that your videos are REALLY going to inspire them to follow their instincts because you are so “open” about finding your own placements, and doing what feels right for YOU! Oooooohhhh I’m literally so EXCITED to share you with them! God Bless Girl and keep bringing us the goods!!!!! I rarely get any comments from other KZbin folks, although I’ve reached out to several to let them know how much their information has helped me! So, just the fact that you responded means SOOOO much to me! I’ve been where these ladies are, which is why I do this and I’m so COMPLETELY PASSIONATE about it! A really really lovely lady reached out to me when I had a broken neck, 7 broken ribs, 9 broken fingers and a COMPLETELY broken heart and I lived on the East Coast, (I now live on the absolutely gorgeous Oregon coast!), and she she just simply “showed up “ in my hospital room, week after week after week and just informed me that I could AND would heal physically and mentally if I simply chose to. And she brought me coloring pages, then little bitty embroidery projects, anything and everything that she could think of to make me use my hands and to focus my energy. She knew that prior to my hospitalization, that I loved sewing, painting, baking fancy cakes, and that I was just generally an artsy person lol. She was 1000% right. I’m not a survivor of domestic violence, I’m a THRIVER BECAUSE OF my life experiences. I literally can do no less then to pass that message along, EVERY WOMAN deserves to know how incredibly special she is AND that she’s VERY CAPABLE of making a POSITIVE impact on her children, and that she’s so totally equipped to provide for them! I just want to ignite that creative spark in them so that they know they are MORE THAN ENOUGH AND that if they just allow themselves to think through ALL their options, that they can absolutely trust their own decisions. So sorry, I get carried away with this subject lol! Just one statistic to leave you and all your viewers with: there is LITERALLY ONE domestic violence/sexual assault shelter to 11 animal shelters in the United States! I’m an animal lover, please don’t get me wrong and I’m not sure what I would do without my little dog, but SERIOUSLY? I just really wish that everyone would stop and look at where our priorities are!?! My entire goal in starting my business is to teach other women the tiny little bit that I know and hopefully be able to employ them at some point and then help them start their own businesses! I just want to see other women succeed when the world has told them that they can’t……..WOW that was a lot, but honestly, your videos inspire me and I have a feeling that you absolutely get it

Oh, dear lady, please don’t be embarrassed when your hands shake because some people like myself are aged and/or have arthritis, permanent tremors, or weakness in our hands and fingers. You encourage us with your realness, helping us believe that if you can make such exquisite pieces when your hands shake, we can, too! I’m trying to start a little gift ministry and maybe a small Etsy shop because I’ve become too disabled with Hashimoto’s (autoimmune thyroid disease which also affects muscles and joints) to work outside the home like I used to. Working with my hands has always helped me overcome depression and self-pity so I’m starting this new venture. I cheap way to get large wooden beads is to find a beaded car seat cover. I found one for a dollar and I got a huge bo0x of beads out of it.

I love this so much and am looking forward to making some of these. Just a thought: another source of lace is sewing hem tape. I find so many bags of oddball sewing notions at the thrift store and there aways seems to be lace hem tape in them.

How absolutely charming! (Pun intended...) I just love this. Can't wait to make some. I got 2 bundles of junk jewellery off Ebay recently and have a treasure trove of goodies to play with. I'm currently making a bag from a deconstructed hot water bottle cover and it's got a bit of lace on it and I think a lace tassel would look cool on it.
