Just bought a home and have been binge watching your videos... you've given me faith that my husband and I can do our backsplash ourselves as well as tear down the halfwall on the stairs to but up rails ❤

Really enjoyed this video! I thought I was going to wet myself laughing at your "house fire prevention with a peanuts and M&Ms break"...I can totally relate. Your kitchen is turning out so good. I, too, love a clean and simple classic design. Looking forward to the next one.

I'm going back and watching your videos because at the time we had moved to TN and was looking for our home. We have been in our home about 10 mon now and just did our subway tile in the kitchen we bought the wavy subway tile and did grout because of the wavy look love it with our dark gray cabinets. Great job !

Amazing job! Love your channel ♥ just a suggestion - maybe consider painting the bottom of the cabinets as well because when you sit down in the dining room and at the island it probably shows and also when you turn on the little lights there is a very yellow- ish reflection... The kitchen looks yellow and it's not. It's actually beautiful, gorgeous black and white style

Great job, love it. I did my first tile backsplash a couple years ago and everyone said it was easy. Well as you would know I picked a difficult tile. After doing research as I was installing it the tile I picked they said not a good idea for first timers. I did finally get it done and it looks beautiful but it took many hours and a massive week long back ache.

If you tile on each end and work toward the corner, this will ensure you won’t end up with those tiny little pieces on the end. Any small pieces will end up in the corner which is easier to hide and your eye isn’t drawn to that area. (This is just based on our tiling experience). 🙂
@KelseyRomitoDIY2 жыл бұрын
I was using that same theory but opposite. I knew you would see into the corner but the end with the small pieces would be covered by the keurig. Still annoying either way! 🤣🤣
@lisadearing59602 жыл бұрын
@@KelseyRomitoDIY my Keurig is in the corner! It hides everything! You’re right, either way is frustrating! I like for things to come out perfectly! I have a few OCD tendencies! Drives my husband crazy! 🤷♀️😁

I just am not crazy about the brass cabinet hardware with stainless appliances, looks way too busy with too much shine.i know it's trendy, but I tend to lean toward traditional with only a few modern items in style. I would have gone with Crystal glass knobs. It's your kitchen, but just an observation.
@susannovak82633 ай бұрын
I like the soft gold hardware with the stainless appliances, probably because that’s what I did in our home. Mixing metals gives another dimension and doesn’t look so builder grade as when everything matches.
@marshabalderrama8903 Жыл бұрын
I love the backsplash you picked. It will be easy to clean. Just be sure to seal the grout, because you definitely will get sauce in the grout and you can’t clean that out😬
