I love the effective simplicity of that jig. I'm going to use it as base concept to attach finer stones for honing and sharpening. Very cool.

could have your file the same way as they did it, and just on the underside of the jog you can have a space for whet stones, an all in one jig essentially

My thought is to have the same setup, but attach different stones to the rod. So you'd pull the rod and insert finer and finer stones. But I guess you could attach the knife to the rod and secure the stone to the jig?

Awesome video, you sold me a Chop. I really hope you throw the quarantine special in though, I like that just as much as the Chop. The knife blanks ship annealed or softened so you can file/grind the bevels in easier. Then it’s your job to heat treat it and temper once you’re ready.
