For the beveling and rounding of the pins, i chuck the pins into a small cordless drill and use that to spin the pins opposite the direction of the belt. A bit faster and sometimes you end up with a cleaner and more even rounding. Also, it eliminates the belt rash when ya get too close 😅😅😂😂

Hi, well done. You say its a N690 Steel. Don't you have a problem with oxygen when hardening? At what temperature do you hardening?
@ASimao712 жыл бұрын
Actualy it can be done this way... Realizing how thick a knife blade is, and the heat treatment protocols given by the steel supliers (which are for one inch thickness standards) soak times and temperatures for hardening and tmpering should be "converted" for the piece to be heat treated so... Would it bennefit from an anti scale compound applied? Well, maybe... Would the use of a thermocouple give a more precise temp? Sure... But, if one has enough experience, it can be done this way for simple carbons to 12C27, AEBL, N690, D2, etc, yes. Not so much for the PM steels though. Those are a bit more finicky...

WONDERFUL, I have no words, always super perfect and unique precise product, wonderful work and video, well done and good luck, respect from old BG. p.s. It is a great pleasure for me to see that there are such precise people in the world, and that of the White race!!!

(Anmobgoccult20)S.P. Ever since the French Industrial Revolution the White Race were the leaders in Engineering. They are not very good at many other skills. It was only in the 1920's that Jspan caught up and lately China is trying their best. Every race has their own excellence and we should respect each other for that, like you do. Thanks.

@John Jude, I feel sorry for you. The ear specialist who supplied your hearing aid is not good. The machine noise is always soft when he speaks. When rhe machine noise is loud, he does not say a single word. You miss nothing, because he only speaks when the machine noise is muffled.
