Love this pond so cool . I have a pond that is 7 foot circle by 2.5 foot deep cude I keep 3 koi ?

Can I suggest you fit a float switch to the pump. The flexible pipe is well known to split in colder temps. Fitting a float switch will cut the pump out and stop the pond being emptied out should that happen. They only cost about a tenner.

Springbank Koi And Aquatics yea mate he will fit one at some point he is only just getting started with the koi Pond ect I did say it’s something to add at some point deffo 👍👌

If I were to build a corner pond at the back of my garden, how much space should I leave between the side and back fence? I’m thinking 2 foot at the back for a shower and pipe work and ideally I’d like to run the backside of the pond right up against the fence, is this possible?

Might try home made bin and just run that and my bakki 💁♂️ seems a great filter with it being so big and easy to maintain. How many times you reckon you would have to clean it james or would you leave the gravel and replace the foams
@JamesTHEKOIwhisperer1235 жыл бұрын
Aaron Barclay yea mate we did put a tap on the very bottom sorry didn’t film that lol but yea just clean the pads ever week easy mate

@@JamesTHEKOIwhisperer123 i have been following your videos for a long time and now subscriber. I like your enthusiasm with the fsh. I just build a tidy pond not too big as due limited space but can keep about 3koi plus some goldfish. Mistake i made was i bought a pressurised filter system with pump. But from what i have learnt over watching this videos and other ppl comments is this type filters dont allow guarantee clear water so i thought of making my own diy filter and thanks to this video you just gave me confident to do so. My only question is i dont have bottom therefore im looking into putting retro bottom drain( better than having none i guess), can i retro bottom drain to a diy filter like the one on this video and have it run as gravity fed? Or is the filter on the clip pump fed? I cant decide on which is best especially if i intend on you a large bin as filter. My apology for a long message but you advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance
