Reminds me of my childhood! In the late 90s it was all about that flat, plastic cord. Remember that stuff?

My grand daughter's birthday is coming up next month and she would love to get one of these. Thanks, Lindsay! They would also be cute in Easter baskets.

I've been kumihimoing for years. Love it. Have lots and lots of pattern cards and books.. Went to Chinatown and found books in Japanese and Chinese but easy yo follow because its done in diagrams and numbers and arrows. Great video.

Hi Lindsay! I love all of your videos. Thanks so much for sharing. I learned how to do kumihimo a couple years ago and made my own board from the styrofoam tray like meats and produce are sometimes sold on. It cuts to a round or square shape and slices very easily, and if you use a white or yellow tray you can write on it with a regular ballpoint pen to letter or number it to keep track of where you are. When I did mine I used 6 strand embroidery floss and it seemed to take FOREVER, but it was very pretty. I wish I'd thought to use larger cord and add the jewelry findings to the end in the middle at the beginning of the project. End in the middle of the beginning? lol I used a clip type clothespin to add some weight to keep it from popping up. Thanks again for your tutorials and AAC. I binge watch both!

AHA! I bet this would be a good upcycle for a used up ribbon spool! Just cut the slits in the sides as the hole is already in the middle.

This is such a cute bracelet! :) I have the same problem when I make bracelets lol... My wrist is very small so when I make jewellery, sometimes the bracelets are too small to fit anyone besides me or my mum lol

Thank you for sharing this !! I've seen tutorials of this and written tutorial but all seemed so intimidating. This was so simple to understand and definitely going to be trying this real soon !! Wonder if this will work with paracord thread ? XD I have so many left over.
