DIY Kydex Holster Belt Loops

Made this jig yesterday and it works great.... One quick question. Why is the depth of the belt loops 1/2"? If it was smaller wouldn't it pull the gun in closer and still accommodate thick gun belts? Just curious..... Thank you for all of your help!

When working with wood, try using adhesive in a wave pattern so bubbles don't get trapped between the two pieces.

Sorry, I'm new to kydex. I have various screws and rubber washers a the rivets that go in the kydex. What is a Chicago screw?
