DIY LapDesk | Land To House

For christmas my girlfriend asked for a lapdesk so she could write on the couch and still have a table surface to set her laptop. I started looking around for a nice lapdesk and found that they are rather pricey. Up to $40. Well in this video you can see how I made a lapdesk for only $8.

side access is a nice idea to stuff or move additional padding to get to sit level

I like that you did not jump all over with stupid video effects and not use a lot of bad music. If I were to do it, I'd anchor the bottom with a strip of some kind rather than drill all of those holes. Well done.

Thank you. Typically I only put music into my videos when there's a long silent stretch and I use my brothers music and my moms music. I was thinking if I ever made another one I would use snap buttons. That way you could interchange the cushion

Could use hot glue.

Or Velcro strips. Then you could wash the pillow when it gets soiled.

It's great that you went to the trouble of making this for her. Some polysteyrene (sp?) beans in the cushion part would have been nice. Maybe next time ...

Yes there are several things that could be done to make it better. Good start for a newbie.
