Yeah, buddy! I had to search for these videos so I could make sure I wrote down all the details-your sources for diamond powder, etc. I am so glad I stumbled on your videos-you really know your stuff and have imparted valuable time and money-saving lessons. I cannot thank you enough, HomeTown!!!

I was wondering where you've found those silicon carbide for cheap. Is it also from aliexpress ? It seems more pricy here in France, approximately 10€.

What grit of silicon carbide is the rubber lap you used for the lapis , if I understand well, you have different range of grits
@sweetgumnyc77949 ай бұрын

I'm skeptical of this process working as you say it does. How does the flex seal flat lap wear in and maintain being a flat surface? Does it not have give to it? It would seam from what you showed here that your leather wheel isn't actually polishing the stone but rather you're just rubbing wax on a stone and burnishing it which isn't really polishing it at all.

having give is the whole point. its a soft disk. previously i was lapping on hard diamond plates and i was finding it really time consuming to get a consistent dome but i find these softer disks are easier to work with. btw i like your channel, iv seen your videos before!

@@sweetgumnyc7794 So you're treating the lapping wheel more like a sponge backed disc then meant for dome vs. something hard to make a flat polished surface then?
