Thank you so much for the idea! I am right about to build a similar thing in my Volvo, and I had the idea somewhat in my head. Now I don’t have to reinvent the wheel.. thank you!

I'm wondering if you'll be taking the back seat out of your volvo too... I have a V60CC and I'm curious!
@villelahtinen91137 ай бұрын
@@ked4864 No, I actually didn’t have to. i was able to crash in my V70, with backseat just folded flat. Even with thick mattress 👍 I guess v60 is a bit smaller in interior space..?
@ked48646 ай бұрын
@@villelahtinen9113 The cargo space has more cubic feet on the V70, but I think most of that comes from "vertical" space; headroom. The V60 has more front and rear leg room, but the V70 has more cargo space. Odd, eh? Same width, V70 2.5 inches higher, a bit more than six inches longer overall. I don't know if that longer is in the "stretch out to sleep" area or not, LOL. I can stretch out fine in my V60cc (testing that before I bought it!), but I'd love a desk for writing (vs a table)....
@villelahtinen91136 ай бұрын
@@ked4864 Dunno really, the leg room is actually quite OK on V70 (I’m 189cm/ 6’2). Maybe they extended the legroom even further on later design, V60. Also the desigg is more streamlined in later models V60/90, whereas V70 is more cubical (great for microcamper). Stretch out to sleep area is OK at V70 too. I can slpeep pretty comrotably, without moving/ reclining the front seat. Always test the sleeping conditions of a car before buying - I did too :D My desk design, inspired by this video, is just abot to be finished. I’s gonna be slick!

Fantastic idea and nice looking table. I was looking at the plastic ones you can buy but they look very flimsy. I'm going to try this in the back of my Mercury Millan so and go for a drive to get out of the house and do some work while hanging out at the local lake.

Impressed! Very impressed! It’s got me thinking about the idea of “finishing” out an Outback. Think of it as a180° shift from what you’ve done with yours that involves upgrading and polishing different elements of the car; up scaling the car as it were. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your tweaks! Cheers!

Digging the desk! I am in a new job where I will be working out of a F150 truck over 8hrs a day. I’m curious if you are still using your desk and if you think this would be a great option for me? It seems like it is convenient, great for productivity, and a healthy way to work from a car.
