The process of embossing and painting the cover for a small wallet made of vegetable-tanned leather. I demonstrate some of my homemade tools and my simple skills in the leather craft. Thank you, so many pro leather workers never take the split second to show the Tool End - they just name it-like everyone should know - and it's so important for beginners. I've been really interested in making my own tools, I will make some today!

To accompany your 'lonely circle', try the metal tip of a mechanical pencil. Available in 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 mm.. Fantastic work!

Thanks! It's fun to try. Just keep in mind that the tool should be "blunt" enough not to pierce the leather.

So you are not actually cutting the leather? Do you find it better to push the lines vs cut them

I don't think one is better than the other. This is how I do it, and therefore I share it. With the cut, the lines are clearer , and in my case there are more opportunities for correction.
