Toolin Tuesday: Oak Leaf

In this Tooling Tuesday I trace out a design from the leather craft book Belts Galore by Al Stohlman. I don't do a ton of oak leaf tooling so I thought I'd practice and hone my skills. I hope through this demonstration, it helps you develop your tooling skills as well.

Nice design, always like the oak leaf with oat nuts and excellent tooling. Would be nice if you did a beginners series on toolings with this exact pattern. came out great! I'd love to see some more non traditional (i.e. floral western) tooling. I have been trying to get into tattoo style tooling and find traditional tattoos lend themselves nicely to being tooled, but would love to see your take on it.

Thank you. I mostly use Hermann oak veg tan leather, and on ocassions use Wicket and Craig veg tan. For this video i was using around a 10oz piece.
