@@candyboociara without knowing exactly what you did thats hard to answer. If you heated too long oils can burn. Leaving it out instead of putting right in fridge. Types of oils and butters you’re using I am not sure.

It really depends on amount you’re making. I used 2 Tbs of each for this particular amount which I honestly dont remenber how much I made. I think this was 16oz

You have to layer it and always use white to start with your pigments. Unless you’re using dark colors like red or brown but even then start with a little white titanium dioxide. And it takes a lot to be pigmented. Otherwise without knowing your exact steps I don’t know. I will be doing a video in a while!

Sorry to tell you but beeswax may likely make it just as hard. Its the hardest wax you can use which is why its preferred in lip balms. As a traditional bullet lipstick it may work but for matte liquid lipstick it may be too hard.

Yes you can. I only use these waxes so it can be vegan.

Wow ! I just bought the lip balm base from TKB/ wished I got the lipstick base instead or ingredients for it..Have you used it the lip balm base from TKB? If so, do you think I could use that for like a potted lip cream with colour? I hope it has more of a matte feeling than glossy feeling 😩 . I find that if it’s too moisturizing, the colour will slip off.

I dont make lipstick bullets yet but I would imagine it would be whatever that amount holds. You’d have to play with recipe to see how much makes that amount. And far as pigments yes it would depend on what you’re going for.

You probably need to add as much oil to it. In order to get it as soft and like butter you need to add a lot of oil like she did but since she didn’t show measurements you’ll have to keep trying till it’s right

Hi, I know this is an old video, but I wanted to say you should let those containers cool down before you put the lids on them. The heat creates condensation inside them when it's very hot like that. Also, Isododecane shouldn't be heated in the bowl along with melting your waxes and butters on the stove. The vapors can ignite with the flame on the stove and explode. You should only add it in there after you've removed it from the heat at a cool down phase along with adding the preservative otherwise your preservative will just burn off as if you didn't add it at all. Anyway, please don't take my advice to heart. I didn't mean it in a rude way at all. I like your videos. However, I was curious what the Isododecane was so looked it up. I noticed when I read about it, it said that it was highly flammable. "I thought, wait didn't she just pour that in there over open flame on the stove?" Then I noticed when you added your preservative in there, I wanted to say something. I'm so sorry! Good luck and stay safe sis.
