DIY Loft Bed Part 2

I am so excited to share part two of this DIY Loft Bed build! With my daughter beginning remote learning, for this school year, I wanted to give her a space she was excited to work in. She's been begging me to build her a loft bed with a desk so this was the perfect time to build it! I was able to build three pieces of furniture in one for about $300 in lumber! This is a great build for beginners and it only requires four tools!

FYI....Back in the late 80s early 90s we bought an unfinished college dorm loft bed for my sons smallish bedroom The bed top was dorm twin bed long and underneath was was empty and wide enough for a loveseat futon .... the ladder was on the sides. It gave him a “sofa” on and extra “bed” ... it was 4x4 posts and mostly 2x4 any2x6 raw wood construction

WOW this looks incredible! We're buying a similar bed from amazon because I don't think we have the time for a project like this but yours is so gorgeous! Question, when you say "sand it all down" - how long does that take for a project this big?!

I know I’m not from this KZbin channel but I think it’s different for everybody when it comes to time, people who don’t do this as much might think this project is pretty big but my dad built a whole basement and it took a year so when it comes to this project it doesn’t seem big or hard for him to do

Could this be left stand-alone (not attached to the wall? Would you put a brace along the back for added stability? I would like to build something like this but am in a rental and am not able attach to the wall. Thanks for making the plans available!

Hey I stumbled upon you channel and I love it, My room is really small and this design seems the best. However i'm not a 9 year old, I'm a 21 year old female that weighs a bit what is the most weight this design can take or how can I modify it to make sure it's extra sturdy.

I love this design! Planning on making it for my 7 year old. Just wondering what the depth is from the top of the safety rail to the bed slats are? I want to make sure there deep enough for my current full-size mattress of about 11” deep. Thanks

I suspect tennis elbow. Over use, nothing to do with tennis. I had it before, very painful.

I currently have tennis elbow from all my wood working and can’t seem to shake it. It’s gotten bad so any advice on how to get rid of it would be welcomed. Enjoy your videos

@@mikeandmollyspivey3051 oh I feel for you. Fortunately I was able to immobilize it. My job permits me to move from task to task throughout the year. I was able the stop using it while doing other tasks. Easier said than done I know but its imperative to recovery. So the elbow, knee and shoulders have recovered mostly but now its my feet. They are getting better. Retirement hopefully will cure many aches and pains. Mind you that I was able to adjust my workload and address my pains early enough to minimize most injuries.
