You’re so inspirational, i’m currently trying to renovate my home with no DIY experience just fuelled dreams and ambition with the doubters right behind me. The cost of using trades as you said is painful, but the worry of ‘messing’ something up or taking that risk to try yourself daunting with no experience, only to hear I told you so… Your cost explanations and detailed content is really inspiring and keeping me concreted in this challenging reno journey. Thank you for being so relatable☺️

Thanks mate! Really appreciate the comment! The thing with DIY is because you arent paying labour you can afford to make mistakes. And dont feel bad when you make mistakes as the people who do it day to day still make mistakes. Worked out the total tiling labour on London Project would be around £8,000ish so yeah can afford to messup and break a few tiles in the process😂. The doubters is a weird one and I spend hours thinking about it trying to understand it… I think it all stems from people projecting there lack of vision, self belief and inability to see themselves achieving/doing something and to make themselves feel better they try and doubt/knock you. Its weird but always remember happy successful people dont move like that. I completely get u, its so daunting but it is for everyone when they start. No one is smarter or better they just have devoted more time. If I make stuff look easy its because I have failed so many times I now know every wrong way to do something😂 so just keep going!! Only way u fail is not trying one more time📈

You have done excellent work - well done! Can I ask, did you need planning permission or a structural engineer to cut the ceiling joists to install the attic stairs? Thanks very much!

Another smashing video. Coming together nicely. With the vapour control layer, could you have had used foil faced plasterboard instead or would still need install VCL?
@havesomevision2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate!! Im actually not too sure, thhe building inspector just said officially you have to do it. Ideally would have used insulatedplasterboard but the prices are insane atm. Thanks for watching
@rupsurfer2 жыл бұрын
are you an engineer by trade or something? cool vid
@kirtpincott56882 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, what was your logic in having your plasters fit the plaster board and not do it yourself?
@havesomevision2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mate! Time, whilst they get on with that I can get on elsewhere. If I had the time I 1000% would board it all myself. Thanks for watching!
