DIY low profile roof rack for Cherokee XJ, RTT

In this episode I fabricate a low profile roof rack for my roof top tent. To be able to reach the zipper and to fold out the tent - the rood rack needs to be flat. I use 30x30mm square steel tubing.

I've been researching the best way to build a low profile roof rack. So far I've removed all of the factory roof rack and you just answered my question on how to build the gutter clamps. Great job. Hi! I used rubber edge protector. I bought it in my local hardware store :)

Hi Matt, I think it was like 2.5mm (1/10”).
